Physical Therapies

Physical therapy is an essential service for anyone who has been physically disabled because of an illness or injury. The job of a physical therapist is to help restore a patient’s mobility while managing their pain at the same time. There is no telling how long it will take for mobility to be restored. It depends on the extent of the injury or illness and the preexisting health conditions of the patient.

Kellmarc Home Health Therapies offers in-home physical therapy services. We realize how difficult it can be to leave your home and travel someplace when you’re battling an injury or illness. That is what makes our physical therapy services so special because we come to you instead of the other way around. You will receive all the necessary physical therapy treatments and services in the comfort of your own home.

What is Involved?

Our physical therapy services involve a comprehensive series of steps. The first step is the evaluation process. It is where our physical therapist will evaluate the current condition of the patient and study their physical limitations carefully. These could be patients who cannot walk, raise their arms, or move around without assistance.

Once the physical therapist learns what the patient can and cannot do, we will create a physical therapeutic exercise regimen for the patient. The exercises will be customized to fit the specific physical limitations of the patient. They will be designed to help the patient increase their mobility and strengthen their muscles in areas of their body that have been stagnant for too long.

The physical therapist will have the patient work with light hand weights and home exercise equipment. If the patient has trouble lifting or pushing weight around, the physical therapist will be there to assist them. The idea is for the patient to exercise their muscles, joints, and bones to some extent. That is how they become stronger and healthier.
